I'll tell you the truth
I'm direct. I'll name what I notice, and I'll push gently when you're ready for it. The people I work best with feel that as relief, not harshness.
I'm Caitlin Bailey, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Found Within Therapy. I work with complex trauma, dissociation, OCD, and attachment wounds, and I know this work from both chairs in the room.
It took me almost seven years to get diagnosed with OCD and to find a provider who could treat it alongside my complex trauma and ADHD. Along the way, a clinician used EMDR with me without recognizing my dissociation. It made things worse. I spent years finding someone who could help repair that harm, and only then could I start on what I had come to therapy for in the first place.
So I know what it's like to be the "complicated" client. I know the mix of hope and skepticism that comes with starting over with someone new. And I know healing is possible, because I've done it, and I'm still doing my own work.
I would never ask you to do something I haven't done, or wouldn't be willing to do, myself.
When I looked for a trauma therapist in Utah who could also treat OCD, I couldn't find one. So I trained to become that person. I've sought out approaches most therapists never learn, like DNMS for attachment wounds and trauma-informed exposure work for OCD, because the people I work with deserve someone who knows how to handle more than one thing at a time.
Some things take longer. Some need specialized tools. But I don't believe in "too complex" or "too much."
I named my practice Found Within because I believe you already have what you need to heal. My job is to help you reach it, trust it, and get the timing right.
Healing doesn't mean every hard feeling goes away. A lot of it is learning to live well and to tolerate the uncomfortable things that used to run the show. That's why I believe in doing the harder thing now so there's more relief later.
Sometimes the hardest things to heal aren't the things that happened to you. They're the things that didn't: the attention, safety, and care you needed as a child and never got. Your parents may not have meant to cause harm, and it can still leave a mark. That's something we can heal together.
I'm direct. I'll name what I notice, and I'll push gently when you're ready for it. The people I work best with feel that as relief, not harshness.
I want your feedback, including when something isn't working. I pay attention to how you respond and adjust the work to fit you.
For very difficult material, I often bring in sandtray or art alongside EMDR. It's a gentler way in that helps keep you grounded.
I don't believe anyone is "too complex" or "too much." Some wounds take longer and need specialized tools. I haven't met one that can't heal with the right approach and enough time.
You know more about what you need than you might think. My job is to help you reach it. That's where the name Found Within comes from.
Deep work only happens when your nervous system feels safe enough to go there. We build trust at the pace it needs, because skipping that step is how therapy does harm.
Lasting relief usually sits on the other side of the hard thing. I'll respect your pace, and I'll also nudge you toward what you've been avoiding, so you never have to face it alone.
Complex trauma, dissociation, and OCD need specific training. I sought that training because I was once the client hurt by a therapist without it. If someone else would be a better fit for you, I'll tell you honestly.
You don't have to perform or have it together here. You can unmask, be fully yourself, and be fully seen and heard.
