Everything you need, in one place.
For current clients and anyone thinking about working with me: scheduling, fees, policies, and answers to the questions I hear most. If something isn't covered here, leave me a voicemail and I'll get back to you.
How sessions work
I see clients Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Therapy sessions are 53 minutes and start on the hour or half hour. Your first appointment is a diagnostic intake, where we get to know each other and talk about what brought you in and what you're hoping will change.
Most clients meet once a week. Depending on what you need, that might be more or less often, and we'll decide together.

I share this office with other independent clinicians, so you may see other people in the waiting area. Each of us runs a separate practice, and we all have agreements in place to protect every client's privacy.
If you're bringing a child who isn't the client, please arrange for them to stay home unless I've asked them to come. Children can't be left alone in the waiting area.
Telehealth: Online sessions are available, and the fee is the same as in person. I prefer to meet in person when possible, especially for trauma processing, but we'll figure out what works for you.

These are the full self-pay rates. If you're using insurance, you'll usually pay your copay or coinsurance instead (see below).
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, HSA cards, Venmo, and cash. Bishop and clergy payment is also accepted.
Insurance & reimbursement
I'm in network with these plans:
- Aetna
- BlueCross and BlueShield
- Carelon Behavioral Health
- Cigna
- EMI Health
- Optum
- Oxford
- PEHP
- Regence BlueCross BlueShield
- SelectHealth
- TRICARE
- TriWest
- UnitedHealthcare (UHC / UBH)
DMBA and other plans: I'm out of network, but I can give you a superbill (a detailed receipt) to submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Bishop and clergy pay is accepted. If your bishop or church leader is covering your sessions, let me know and I'll coordinate billing with them.
Self-pay is always an option, at the rates above. A superbill is available if you'd like to try for reimbursement.
Before we start, it's worth calling the number on the back of your insurance card and asking:
- Is Caitlin Bailey, LCSW in network with my plan?
- What's my copay or coinsurance for outpatient mental health visits?
- Do I have a deductible, and how much of it have I met?
- Is telehealth covered the same as in-person sessions?
- Do I need pre-authorization, and is there a limit on sessions per year?
Coverage depends on your specific plan, and you're responsible for any amount insurance doesn't pay. Insurance generally doesn't cover missed appointments, phone calls, or letters and reports.
Cancellation policy
Your appointment time is held just for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give me at least 48 hours' notice. That gives me time to offer the spot to someone else who needs it.
Appointments canceled with less notice, or missed, are charged the full session fee, and that fee needs to be paid before we schedule again. Insurance doesn't pay for missed sessions. In some cases, we may be able to switch to a phone or telehealth session instead.
If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time. Optional reminders are available by email, text, or phone.
Between sessions
The best way to reach me is a confidential voicemail at 801-505-9159. I check messages at least once a day, Monday through Friday, and will call you back as soon as I can.
You can also email caitlin@found-within-therapy.com for scheduling and other logistics. Email and texting aren't fully secure, especially from a work account, so please keep personal or clinical details out of them.
Calls under 15 minutes and longer conversations are billed at the phone rate above.
If you're in crisis
Voicemail and email are not monitored for emergencies. If you're in danger or thinking about hurting yourself or someone else:
Once you're safe, leave me a message and say that it was an emergency so I can follow up.
Common questions
Are you taking new clients?
My caseload is full right now. You're welcome to join the waitlist, and I'll reach out personally when a spot opens.
Yes. Reach out here to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation, and we'll talk about whether we're a good fit.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. I'm in network with Aetna, BlueCross and BlueShield, Carelon, Cigna, EMI Health, Optum, Oxford, PEHP, Regence BlueCross BlueShield, SelectHealth, TRICARE, TriWest, and UnitedHealthcare. For other plans, including DMBA, I can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. Bishop and clergy pay is also accepted. See the full insurance details.
Do you offer sessions in Spanish?
Yes. Sessions are available in English or Spanish.
How long will therapy take?
It depends on what you're working on and what you're carrying. Complex trauma and long-standing patterns usually take time, and I won't pretend there's a shortcut. We'll check in on progress regularly, and you're always in charge of your own process.
What if I'm not sure I'm ready?
That's common, and it isn't a character flaw. Hesitation usually comes from fear or from trust that hasn't been built yet. We start by building safety, and we move at a pace your nervous system can handle.
What if you're not the right fit for me?
After our first few meetings, I'll let you know honestly whether I think I can help. If another therapist would be a better match, I'll tell you and help with a referral. You can also ask about other treatment options or stop therapy at any time.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes, with a few legal exceptions. I'm required to act if there's a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, or a court order. Parents or guardians of minors have the right to access their child's records. We'll go over all of this in detail at your first session.
What ages do you work with?
I see clients ages 10 and up, including preteens, teens, and adults. I love working with younger clients. It goes best when parents are supportive of the process and willing to be part of it when needed.
Can you write letters or fill out paperwork for me?
Sometimes. Letters and reports are billed at $45 per 15 minutes, and I'll decide case by case whether it's appropriate based on our work together.
Will you testify in court or provide records for a legal case?
I strongly recommend against involving your therapist in legal proceedings like custody disputes, because it can damage the trust therapy depends on. If I'm subpoenaed, court and deposition fees apply ($800 initial fee, then $350 per hour, $1,050 minimum). Details are in the intake paperwork.
What if I see you out in public?
I'll never acknowledge that you're a client without your permission. Usually I'll just smile or say hello. If you'd rather I not acknowledge you at all, just let me know.
Good Faith Estimate notice
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.
